Amit Kumar Gupta, PhD, Willie Wong Gold Medal award winner 2026

Dr. Amit Gupta is a senior engineering and technology leader with more than 25 years of global experience spanning research and development, product innovation and development, engineering, technology strategy, and organisational leadership.

Over the course of his career, he has led the development and delivery of numerous products and technology solutions in electrical power systems, while building and leading multidisciplinary engineering and R&D organisations. He has directed major international technology programmes and developed collaborative ecosystems spanning industry, academia, and research institutions. He has held senior leadership positions in global engineering and technology organisations and has led large-scale industry–university research and innovation programmes. Alongside his industry career, Amit has remained actively engaged in academia through teaching, research, and industry collaboration. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and has authored numerous technical publications and patents in his areas of expertise.

Amit graduated from the Nanyang Executive MBA programme in 2026, where he was named to the Dean’s List and emerged as the top student of his cohort, receiving the Willie Wong Gold Medal Award.
