WWG’s Applications:

Latest WWG applications are involving multiple projects for process industry gear boxes, marine vessel pump equipment, FPSO turbine, generator, compressor, engine, motor and fan etc.

Advantages:

Conventional alignment checking, surface alignment, bore alignment, flatness, parallism measurement, etc, are carried out by mechanical settings, machinery settings or by line-boring bars, dial gages etc. Nowadays, it is a very common industrial requirement of these to be done by Advanced Laser Alignment Tools.

This is because Laser Technology is a highly precision application for positioning these machineries accurately, with speed, and in many advanced digital real-time feedback.

Industries:

In power generation, process, offshore, oil & gas, marine industries, it is highly demanding new  critical equipment setting up to be carried out alignment settings by Laser Alignment tools.

Equipment:

Critical equipment that requires Laser Alignment, particularly for Rotating Equipment, may include turbines, gearboxes, generators, engines, compressors, on-top of more general equipment such as motors, fans, pumps etc.

Criticalness:

It is very crucial for many new equipment setting up,  as well as repair and maintenance works. This is to ensure reliability and efficiency, minimising maintenance costs, plus, preventing catastrophic failures.

A large part of rotating equipment damages, mechanical failures, breaking downs are as a results of misalignment. This may happen due to poor setting up… or machinery deteriorations during operations, due to vibrations, poor maintenance or effective machinery lifespan issues.

About Laser Alignment

1. A Laser Alignment tool is set up based on a laser emitter and receiver.

2. Morden design involves very advanced digital and graphic display for best alignment detection and precision reading.

3. Based on software calculations and deviation output,  Mechanical Adjustment would be followed up, to achieve desired equipment and machinery settings.

4. Easy and fast to generate work Reports, showing before and after process.
